TONTO RECREATION ALLIANCE (TRAL) MAPS

TONTO RECREATION ALLIANCE (TRAL) – There are over 300 volunteers in the non-profit Tonto Recreation Alliance (TRAL) organization working with the Tonto National Forest Service on volunteer projects and grants.   The Tonto National Forest spans almost 3 million acres so their volunteers get to work in a variety of climates.  With projects all over the forest, expect to visit deserts with saguaro cactus, mountains with pine trees and everything in between.  TRAL has a number of downloadable maps from the Avenza Map Store.  Some of the maps are free while some have a small charge. These charges help to fund ongoing development of Tonto OHV user maps as well as other programs that help keep our OHV trails open.

Their mission is to provide educational and volunteer support to the Tonto National Forest. Our current focus is on the Mesa Ranger District Recruit, train and manage a group of volunteers who will work in cooperation with the Tonto National Forest on education of the general public about responsible off-highway vehicle use and resource conservation.
Provide volunteer help to improve and maintain designated roads and trails used by off-highway vehicles within the Tonto National Forest.
