EDUCATIONAL ROUNDTABLE DISCUSSIONS AND FORUMS

 

Editor’s Note – Our quarterly meetings are currently ON HOLD due to the pandemic mitigation guidelines but we are still doing club rides and post-ride social events like BBQs and Desert Dessert Bars and Discussion blogs.

On each meeting’s agenda, there will be a minimum 15-minute Trail Talk discussion, plus a 15-minute education program or video presentation, or open mike discussion on various topics. 

Guest speakers, Q&A sessions and Hands-on demonstrations, Educational Handouts & Maps, Offsite 1-3 hour Educational Roundtable Discussions (e.g. Rugged Radios vs Beofeng Radios, GPS Basics & Best Practices, Sharing of GPS Tracks, Garmin Basecamp, Wilderness First Aid, etc.).   

There is usually a 1/2 hour of ride videos shown before each meeting to entertain the early arrivals as members and visitors sign in.  

Side tables are also set up for our reference library of maps, trail talk presentations, trail books, and club merchandise.

RIDES 

Club Rides, Partnership rides with the Arizona OHV Ambassador “Show Me” Rides, Membership Drives & Rides (with BBQ or Desert Dessert Bar Social after ride), New Member Rides, Geocache Rides, Bucket List Rides, Poker Run/Bingo Run/BBQs, Christmas Light Cruise Parades

SOCIAL EVENTS   

Meetings, Social Events, and Educational Roundtable Forums are held at different venues (e.g. Cabelas, Bass Pro, ATV dealerships, sports grills, restaurants, and community centers). BBQ & Meeting at Arizona Game & Fish HQ or Ben Avery Range on Carefree Hwy Ride & Meet (eg. Table Mesa ride to New River with lunch meeting at Roadrunner Restaurant). Post-ride BBQs or Desert Dessert Bar meet-and-greets after a ride.
