March 24 – AzGFD Outdoor Expo – Meet-and-Greet session at our informational booth

Registering for this event just lets other members know that you will be attending the free Outdoor Expo on this day of the two-day event. The event is FREE and OPEN to the General Public.
Read below – I’m looking for volunteers to help me man our club’s canopy tent booth. Reward: a TBD private ride with just the booth volunteers. 🙂 Our booth will be set up in the Area 3 outdoor exhibits area of the facility grounds.
The OUTDOOR EXPO Adventure
Admission and parking are free
March 23-24, 2024 Saturday 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Sunday 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
“We’re not aware of any other free event that combines conservation, recreation and industry into such a welcoming environment for the public,” said Ty Gray, AZGFD director. “This is where people can find plenty of hands-on activities, see educational exhibits, test and purchase the latest equipment and products, and connect with social organizations that can provide countless ‘next step’ experiences to support their outdoor passions.”
Another great event is expected with more than 150 exhibitors, including outdoor recreation and conservation groups, government agencies and commercial vendors of outdoor products and services.
About the Event
The AZ Game & Fish Dept Outdoor Expo is one of Arizona’s largest events promoting wildlife-related and other outdoor recreation. Held each spring at the world-famous, 1,600-acre Ben Avery Shooting Facility in north Phoenix, the event attracts visitors from all over the state. Kids and adults alike are welcome to take part in hands-on activities and seminars including:
- Live Wildlife
- Fishing
- Hunter Education
- Archery
- Shooting Sports
- Camping
- Boating
- Off-Highway Vehicles
And much more!
Also featured are exhibitors ranging from sportsmen’s and conservation organizations to government agencies and commercial outdoor product and service vendors.

The AZ Game & Fish Dept is allowing our non-profit PAUC club to set up an informational booth at their upcoming March 23-24, 2024 Outdoor Expo. The AzGFD Outdoor Expo will be held at the 1,600 acre Ben Avery Shooting Facility located at 4044 W Black Canyon Blvd, Phoenix, AZ 85086.
Our booth will be set up in the Area 3 outdoor exhibits area of the facility grounds. Come by our booth for a Meet-and-Greet Session to say Hello to your fellow club members and ask about our club rides and riding areas. There are shuttles from the parking lots that have stops along the Expo event grounds .
If you plan to attend the Outdoor Expo, please wear your club identity shirts to market and promote the club as you walk around.
BOOTH VOLUNTEERS
I am looking for ride leader & member volunteers to man the booth on Saturday and Sunday from 9AM-4PM to hand out club business cards and to answer general questions and share trail and club activity information. I would like the volunteers to wear their club identity shirts in the booth. I will have club shirts and whip flags onsite for sale to PAUC club members only to save the normal $5 shipping costs. Let me know what size (M-L-XL-2XL-3XL) and if you want the $25 short-sleeve crew neck T-Shirt or $30 long-sleeve V-neck Motocross Shirt. Club whip flags are $20 each. I probably would also need at least 2-3 people to help me set up the booth space on Friday (time to be determined and followed by nearby Happy Hour session) and 2-3 people for the tear-down on Sunday evening (between 4PM-6PM).
I have prepared three display boards of recent club ride photos and will bring a custom logo canopy tent, ride photo display boards, tables, chairs, easels, business cards, newsletters, and other information for the thousands of expected attendees. If you plan to attend the Outdoor Expo, please wear your club identity shirts to market and promote the club as you walk around. If you can volunteer to man the booth, all you have to do is talk about your ride and trail experiences with the general public just like on our club ride meet-and-greet sessions. I will give you some club business cards to hand out to Outdoor Expo attendees.

Volunteers need to arrive at least an hour before the all-day event to man the booth. Doors open to the public at 9:00AM. If I can get a number of volunteers to cover the booth, you should be able to have lunch and stroll around the Outdoor Expo too.
UPDATE: on March 3rd, I received specific information from the AzGFD Outdoor Expo organizers for our booth volunteers as to special access to vendor parking lot, hours of operation, setup instructions, etc. I will send this information to our booth volunteers.
